Your Expertise Isn’t the Problem. How You Communicate It Is.
This workshop is designed for professionals who want to:
• Speak more confidently in meetings
• Explain ideas without rambling
• Deliver updates that are clear and concise
• Improve their presence when speaking at work
My goal in attending Summer's workshop was to increase my confidence in public speaking and learn to communicate more effectively and with ease. The session was incredibly valuable, as it provided concrete strategies on how to deliver clear, concise communication while speaking with authority. I walked away feeling better equipped to speak with authority in numerous settings. As a result, my confidence has increased and I feel my communication style truly positions me as a leader.

I attended the Saturday Sessions Public Speaking Practice Lab with Coach Summer and had a great experience! What drew me to this workshop was her message that your work will not speak for itself and that you have to be the voice of your expertise and experience. That really resonated with me as I continue to grow in leadership and strengthen how I communicate my ideas. During this session, I learned about the IMPACT framework, and what stood out most is that it gave language to things I was already doing while also introducing new ways to think about communicating effectively. The smaller setting created space to really practice, apply the framework in real time, and receive feedback without feeling intimidated. I was able to use it to practice pitching an idea I am currently working on at my job, and the feedback I received was clear, supportive, and actionable. I was nervous going into it, but I left feeling more confident in my message and reminded that practice is what builds confidence, not waiting until everything feels perfect. I am already applying what I learned with my team by helping them structure their ideas and practice in real time. This experience supported both my growth and how I show up for others, and I look forward to continuing to build in this area.

As a Social Media Strategist, I joined Summer’s group coaching with the goal of getting better at sharing my ideas for company strategy in a way that was truly effective and clear. I knew I had valuable contributions to make, but I was struggling to articulate them in a way that would land with impact. The most valuable part of the experience was the opportunity for practice with real-time, in-session feedback. It wasn’t just about learning concepts; we were actively applying them and getting guidance on the spot. The impact of this approach was amazing. I am now able to communicate what I need to far more effectively, and I feel more confident when I speak. Since the session, I’ve even gotten approvals on my ideas, which is a direct result of this work. Summer has a gift for identifying exactly what you need to work on and providing the tools to help you improve immediately. I found the session incredibly helpful and would recommend it to anyone looking to make a tangible, immediate improvement in their communication skills.

Practice in a Safe Space
You’re credible. You’re capable. You deliver results. But somewhere between your team and the rest of the organization, your message loses its edge.
Maybe you’ve had a solid proposal stall because you didn’t frame it in terms the room cared about.
Or maybe you’re getting pulled into more high-visibility moments – executive updates, cross-functional presentations, steering committees – and you know you need to show up differently.
The issue isn’t your expertise.
It’s the translation.
The leaders who move organizations forward aren’t just smart; they know how to communicate what they know in a way that builds credibility and drives decisions.
That’s a skill, and like any skill, it gets sharper with intentional practice.
This session gives you that practice.
Meet The Instructor
Summer Alexander
Hey, I’m Summer Alexander, a Public Speaking and Leadership Coach who helps leaders communicate with confidence and lead with influence.
I’ve spent more than 15 years designing and facilitating leadership programs for global organizations, teaching thousands of leaders how to communicate in ways that move people to action.
My approach is human-centered, practical, and a little unconventional because I believe learning should feel like a real conversation, not a lecture.
When I teach, my goal is simple: to help you understand why certain communication strategies work and give you tools you can use right away in your next meeting, presentation, or conversation.
By the end of our time together, I want you to feel equipped, encouraged, and ready to show up as the kind of leader people want to listen to.
